A family trade. Fifteen years strong.
We started PCP in a single van in 2011 with the same idea we run on today: charge a fair price, do the job properly, and pick up the phone when the customer calls. What began as plumbing and heating has grown into a full team of trades — electrics, handyman work, renovations and everything your property needs.
We started with plumbing and heating, because that's where the emergencies are — the burst pipe on a Sunday night, the boiler that packs up in the first cold snap. Word got round that we picked up the phone, quoted a fair price and did the job properly, and the calls kept coming.
So we grew, carefully. Rather than hand work to subcontractors, we brought the trades in-house one at a time — electrics, leak detection, handyman work, then full renovations. Today one call to PCP reaches a single team that can look after your whole property, from a dripping tap to a kitchen refit, without you having to juggle five different numbers.
We've stayed deliberately close-knit. Every engineer who knocks on your door is on our own payroll, in PCP uniform and carrying photo ID — not a stranger we found that morning. We're Gas Safe registered, fully insured, and we back our work in writing. That's the difference between a trade you use once and a team you keep in your phone.
We're still a family-run business, still answering our own phones, and still turning up when we say we will. That part won't change no matter how much we grow.
Three rules we run on.
Quote it, hold it.
The price we give you on the phone is the price you pay. If something unexpected comes up mid-job we stop and ring you — never tack it on at the end.
Treat the home.
Dust sheets, shoe covers, hoover before we leave. If your nan would tut at it, we don't do it.
Stay the same lot.
We deliberately stay close-knit. You’ll see the same faces and the same phone-answerer every time you call — people who already know your property.
